I always liked it in south park that each of the boys (Cartman, Stan, and Kyle) took a little bit of care of Kenny.I really liked the episode in which each of the boys showed concern for Kenny.I believe that Kenny sees his friends not only as friends, but also as fathers who take care of him and protect him from danger.
